The Free University of Bozen Bolzano was founded on the 31st of October 1997 as a free, state-recognized university.

It incorporates:
Faculty of Education
Faculty of Design and Art
School of Economics and Management
Faculty of Technology and Natural Sciences
Faculty of Computer Science.

The Free University of Bozen Bolzano aims to offer students a multilingual, practice-oriented education that meets the demands of the local and the European labour market.
